EcoTypes Survey

EcoTypes Survey 2023

Here is the EcoTypes Survey!

By completing this anonymous survey, you’ll immediately receive a personalized report on your axes, themes, and EcoType, all detailed here.

This anonymous survey consists of 24 environmental statements followed by a brief climate priorities question and background information, and should take you about 20 minutes to complete. (The entire survey must be completed start to finish, so make sure you have sufficient time.)

You'll respond to twelve environmental statements on each of two pages; some may sound similar to others. Please think about each statement before you respond. The wording of many statements is intentionally strong, to suggest differing approaches to environmental issues. You'll choose whether you disagree (-) or agree (+) with each statement, and how strongly you disagree/agree; you can also choose the middle neutral/mixed option.

Then you'll choose your top three climate priorities from a list of twelve possible solutions. Finally, you'll have an opportunity to answer some background questions to help us understand patterns in responses, and you'll select your higher education institutional code (if provided by your instructor).

When you submit the survey your data will be analyzed, and you'll immediately receive a personalized report, with a unique entry key so that you can retrieve your report at any time. Make sure to write down your entry key!: since the survey is anonymous, there is no other way to retrieve your data.

At the very end, you'll see an opportunity to complete, at some later time, an optional reflection form about your EcoTypes survey results, and how you might navigate differences with other EcoTypes. The reflection form is customized with data from your own survey results. To receive information and a link to the form, you'll enter your email address. This is totally optional, and all of your responses on the additional form will be kept confidential.

Submission of this survey indicates your willingness to store your survey data anonymously, and for your anonymous data to be included in statistical summaries for educational and research purposes.
